5. Mr. Kitty, who lived in our house before we did and chose not to leave when it was sold to us

4. The sobering warning that the heart is deceitful and can easily fall into dressing up "pet sins" as virtues -- and the comfort of Hebrews 4:12 that we have a sure plumbline: "The Word of God is living and active, ... discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

5. Precise thinkers

6. The Beisner "arrows" spread across this country, doing good

7. How God has orchestrated our homeschooling all these years, always providing what we needed but didn't know

8. That our escrow payments have decreased, giving us leeway in our budget as other expenses increase

9. That my Dad has always had common sense and good morals regarding finances -- this makes me so proud of him
